Located on SR 879, Karthaus is a natural portal to the Quehanna Wild Area and the Elk Scenic Drive. It is also “trackside” to racing and other water based activities  along the West Branch Susquehanna River. With the full- service Quehanna Motor Lodge open nearby on the Quehanna Highway, visitors can stay and play close to lodging. Karthaus also serves as an anchor for some of the region’s hottest  “must do”  events including the 100 Mile Yard Sale, Jeep Run and annual Dice Run through  the Quehanna Wild Area.
