Moena’s is a family owned Italian restaurant that moved in and restored the old down town five and dime. The high ceilings and Italian décor add to the splendor of a great choice of dining. Another one of our favorites is Ethan’s Café. A bowl of soup and a gourmet sandwich makes for a great energy booster. Hedge’s Fine Dining has the best French Onion soup in the downtown. Cap that with a ciabatta bread sandwich and you’ll leave satisfied and energized. Now that you have had time to recollect your thoughts and check off your list, it’s time to resume the fun. Zalno Jewlers is a locally owned jeweler that has the sparkling gift for the star in your life. For anyone who deserves the very best this year, fine jewels and crystals, bracelets, charms and so much more. Taffy Salon and Spa can offer you a moment of relaxation. Storm Downtown Curwensville

Let me suggest one of the Lunch Specials at the Adam’s Golden Grill or a quaint lunch at another local favorite the Central Hotel before you head down the road to Coalport.
Coalport Shopping
Did you decide to wait till you got to Coalport to have a bite to eat? Barb’s Family Restaurant is a great place to catch a home-cooked meal before you get back to the shopping list. Walk off you lunch with a stroll down Main Street, which is a National Historic District filled with fun shops sprinkled with regal Victorian homes built by the area’s coal and lumber pioneers. Kann’s Country Store is filled with unique country décor as well as bulk items and things from the past. When’s the last time you got to shop in an old-fashioned five and dime? The Coalport 5 & 10 has great gift items, and if you have an embroiderer in the family, you’ll find a huge selection of patterns and flosses. Gene Gates and Sons has some great touch lamps and furniture you can’t find anywhere else. Take a break from a hard afternoon of shopping at an old-fashioned soda fountain: Bells and Whistles. The soda jerk will have your taste buds in awe over delectable’s straight from the 50’s.
If you have still have shopping to do, stick around an extra day. There’s room for you at Kann’s Bed and Breakfast or Red Dog Retreat. After you’re settled, unwind at Bar 53, which has regionally renowned entertainment on weekends.
