Welcome to the Quehanna Wild Area! Start your adventure with a visit to Parker Dam and SB Elliott State Parks, and then follow the Elk Scenic Drive up to Penfield, on to Weedville, and take the loop on to Medix. From there, take the cut-off back to Karthaus and State Route 879, where you can view the elk from your vehicle or the seclusion of one of the wildlife blinds. Don’t forget the camera, and  you may want to bring the tape recorder. You might run into a story-teller or two around Karthaus, and you won’t want to miss a word!
