Built in 1873 by Thomas McGee for just $175, the single-span bridge was constructed from hand-hewn local white pine near Mahaffey. Thousands of timber rafts once passed beneath it on the West Branch, including the famous “Last Raft” in 1938. Today, you can still drive through the bridge or stop at the adjacent picnic grove and take in the view.
