For one special weekend each year, guests experience historic interpretive tours of Lincoln Caverns & Whisper Rocks, along with free workshops and children’s activities throughout the day.

11:00 AM Intro. To Speleology – Personalized, interactive PowerPoint Presentation, featuring cave formation, types of speleothems, cave life and conservation.
12:00 PM Whispers on Stone – Storytelling and art go hand in hand – all the way back to early cave paintings. Children will get to create their own story by creating a piece of art in the style of ancient cave paintings.
1:00 PM Not Just Jurassic – Dig into the past with a geologic time activity and a great mass extinction game! Where have all the dinosaurs gone?
2:00 PM History & Development of Lincoln Caverns – Personalized presentation, featuring the history of three generations of discovery, education and conservation of Lincoln Caverns & Whisper Rocks.
3:00 PM Troglo Who? – Learn about the unique creatures inhabiting cave systems, their adaptations, and how they depend on one another through games and activities.
4:00 PM Fungus Amongus – 90% of PA’s cave dwelling bats have perished due to White Nose Syndrome since 2006. Learn how the disease spreads, what is being done and how bats are adapting.

See glowing speleothems and calcite crystals reveal their spectacular phosphorescent beauty while learning about the history, formation & speleothems of Lincoln Caverns & Whisper Rocks.
