 2nd Annual Scarecrow Light Pole Decorating Contest (on West Long Avenue) Last year was so much fun and full of creativity — thank you to everyone who participated! This year, let’s see if we can extend the decorating even further down West Long Avenue! Decorating begins: September 12th All displays must be completed by: Wednesday, September 17th Entry Fee: $25 1st wins trophy and cash prize!! Hands-On activities teach how fossils formed and provide clues to the history of our earth. Includes fossil craft & fossil hunt. 4:00 PM S.O.S. – Save Our Species! – Bats, birds, flowers, plants – many are endangered. Discuss species from your home state and why bats have become endangered. Research your favorite and make a poster to take home.

24th Annual Coyote Hunt  Last chance to register Thursday February 19th 10:00 am to 11:59 pm  Registration for the hunt can be made at the Mosquito Creek Sportsmen's Club  

The QIDC will be holding the 24th Annual QIDC 100 Mile Yard Sale this year on July 16 and 17, 2021. This event runs from Shawville to Medix Run and From Weedville to Sinnemahoning. There are several small towns along the route. The QIDC will be set up again at Big M's garage in Karthaus. Stop by and say hello. Registration is $10 and begins March 1st. We will end registration for the directory on May 1st. We hope to have the directories printed and distributed by June 1st. Members of the QIDC will be set up at the Quehanna Lodge on April 11th, 18th, and the 25th if you would like to register in person. We will be there from 1 to 3 pm.
