This year, let’s see if we can extend the decorating even further down West Long Avenue! Visit various stations performing identification tests and learning fascinating properties of rocks and minerals. And a rock craft too! 2:00 PM History & Development of Lincoln Caverns – Personalized presentation, featuring the history of three generations of discovery, education and conservation of Lincoln Caverns & Whisper Rocks. 3:00 PM Fossil Fanatics – Discover the past! Hands-On activities teach how fossils formed and provide clues to the history of our earth. Includes fossil craft & fossil hunt. 4:00 PM S.O.S. – Save Our Species! – Bats, birds, flowers, plants – many are endangered. Discuss species from your home state and why bats have become endangered. Research your favorite and make a poster to take home.

The QIDC will be holding the 24th Annual QIDC 100 Mile Yard Sale this year on July 16 and 17, 2021. This event runs from Shawville to Medix Run and From Weedville to Sinnemahoning. There are several small towns along the route. The QIDC will be set up again at Big M's garage in Karthaus. Stop by and say hello. Registration is $10 and begins March 1st. We will end registration for the directory on May 1st. We hope to have the directories printed and distributed by June 1st. Members of the QIDC will be set up at the Quehanna Lodge on April 11th, 18th, and the 25th if you would like to register in person. We will be there from 1 to 3 pm.
