Announcements: ***TO GUARANTEE A T-SHIRT, REGISTER BY MARCH 7th*** Due to COVID-19 we have made the following changes for 2021. All the changes are intended to maintain social distance and ensure the safety of volunteers and racers. We intend to have contactless registration and will work to maintain social distance near the start and finish areas. We ask that everyone wear a mask before and after the race. 1. No day-of-event race entries. 2. All racers must pre-register before March 13th 3. No day-of-event race class changes 4. There will be no awards ceremony or dinner following the race. 5. Race results will be posted online & emailed ASAP following the race. 6. Race Trophies will be mailed to winners 7. Spectators are highly discouraged from attending 8. All the above is subject to change About the event Held on a remote 7.5-mile section of Moshannon Creek between Peale Bridge near the town of Grassflat, PA and the Route 53 Bridge near the town of Moshannon, PA. At moderate levels this section of creek is rated Class II+ on the International Scale of Difficulty. High water significantly increases the difficulty. Extra flotation in boats is highly recommended. Most years there are numerous swims and bent boats!! Cold water paddling clothing is recommended. The stream & air temperatures are usually very cold. Time & Location Race Day: Saturday, March 27, 2021 Schedule of events on race morning: Please set your shuttle prior to registration in the morning 9AM to 11AM Registration and Bib pickup at starting line 11:30 AM - Racer Meeting at the start line Noon - Race Starts Start Location: https://goo.gl/maps/w1w3NGXWjvkH5U2y5 Finish Location: https://goo.gl/maps/5rv2tZyutyrL1KeQA   Rules Life jackets must be worn throughout the race-no automatically or manually inflating life jackets Decked boaters (kayaks & decked canoes) & SUP boarders must wear helmets, helmets not required but recommended for open boaters Decking for open canoes limited to 36” bow & stern Canoes must be propelled with single blade paddles, operating auto floor bailers not allowed, Operating rudders or skegs not allowed. Extra floatation placed in canoes/kayaks highly recommended. Minimum age of solo kayak or canoe paddler is 16 years of age unless participating in the Youth class or OC2 Over/Under class. All Youth participancts must be accompanied by and adult on the race course. If a parent/guardian is accompanying a Youth solo racer the guardian does not need to pay a race entry fee. Race official’s word is final.

We are also inviting our younger generations as well! Young women ages 12 and up are welcome to join us for this day of learning, camaraderie, and FUN!
