• Each participant must be registered for this hunt. When hunting in groups, each member of the group must be registered, or the entire group will be disqualified. You can register at the Club or by mail, Write “Coyote Hunt” on the envelope when sending the application in the mail. PLEASE INCLUDE A SELF-ADDRESSED STAMPED ENVELOPE TO DEFER COSTS. IF MAILING IN THE APPLICATION, IT MUST BE POSTMARKED BY JANUARY 31, 2020.
• Each participant must be a 2020 member of the Sinnemahoning Sportsmen’s Association. If you are not a member now, you can apply for a membership when you register for the hunt.
• A registration fee of $ 10.00 plus a $ 2.00 administration fee for a total of $12.00 must be paid with the registration. There is a $ 5.00 additional fee to enter for the heaviest female coyote and an additional $ 5.00 for the heaviest fox.
• No registrations are taken on the days of the hunt. The last day to register may be done at the club on Thursday, February 13, 2020 until 11:59 PM. If you are registered, you can start to hunt at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, February 14, 2020. The hunt and weigh ins will end on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at 3pm.
• Coyotes & Fox must be killed by legal means during the days of the hunt.
• Hunting will be permitted state wide in Pennsylvania. Participants must have the proper license and obey all of the game laws in the state of Pennsylvania while hunting.
• Calls and dogs can be used to hunt coyotes & fox. Trapping is allowed.
• The Sinnemahoning Sportsmen’s Association reserves the right to have an autopsy performed on the animal if we feel that the animal was kept in a pen or was taken illegally. A veterinarian will be available to enforce this regulation. SSA respects your honesty as a sportsman and we hope that you respect the organization.
• Official weigh-ins will be done at the Club on Friday February 14, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Saturday,
February 15, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Sunday February 16, 2020 from 8:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. The deadline for weigh-in is 3 p.m. on Sunday, February 16, 2020 – prizes will be awarded after weigh-ins.
• Each hunter is responsible for the disposal of his or her coyote & fox carcasses.
• Prizes will be awarded by check, accompanied by the proper tax forms
Valentine’s Day Horror Short Film Screening, hosted by NAFCo as part of their Dinner and Movie series will be held on February 14, 2020 at 6:00 pm upstairs at the DuBois Diner, 50 W Dubois Ave # D, DuBois, PA 15801. Featured filmmaker of the month will be Don Swanson from White Mill Crossing, PA. Don will present the award winning psychological horror short “Occurrence at Mills Creek” along with a selection of other short films (see listings in discussion below) In addition he will talk about the production of the films, and answer questions from the audience. Mixer begins at 6, order dinner at 6:30, film session begins at 7:30. There is no charge for the event, aside from what you order for dinner. Donations to NAFCo will be accepted. Come and enjoy an evening of dinner, watch some well-made short films, and meet and talk with the filmmaker himself. Get involved in the local film community. NAFCo is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation based in DuBois whose purpose if the promotion of filmmaking in the Northern Appalachian region.
Don your evening attire and a mask to help Mrs. Clearfield International 2020 raise funds to support our local community homeless shelter, Haven House, as well as supporting a local Army National Guard Battalion family group. A night filled with; dancing & photo booth thanks to DJ Mad Maxx, drinks, hor doeuvres, and a Chinese auction to include many different baskets and items from local businesses, and family and friends.
