CRC also invites you on Saturday, December 4th to celebrate the official light up kickoff of the holiday season from 4 p.m.-5:30 p.m.. This will be your chance to watch our downtown come alive for the holiday season with the lighting of the community Christmas tree at Lower Witmer Park. The Clearfield Volunteer Fire Department will be available to place the ornaments on the tree for this event. There will be caroling for the event. St Francis School will provide holiday caroling. TCC Church will provide Hot Chocolate for the event. Individuals, families, organizations, churches and other groups are invited to create ornaments for the tree. Ornaments must be durable and weatherproof for use outdoors for at least six weeks in wet and wintry conditions. They should be decorated with colorful materials that, if possible, are reflective. To minimize environmental impact, ornament makers are encouraged to use wood or recycled materials. Ornaments should be eight to ten inches in size, light weight and light in color, relatively simple in design so they can be enjoyed from a distance. They must be ready for hanging with a heavy wire attached to the top corners. Ornament makers are encouraged to add their name, organization and the year on the backs of the ornaments they create. Those made of glass or other breakable materials cannot be accepted and those contributed will not be returned. We will light the towering community Christmas tree, glowing with lights and shimmering ornaments at approximately 4:45 pm to commence the holiday season. We will also have some special visitors for the children. As part of the holiday season CRC will also light up the rest of Lower Witmer Park for the holidays. You will want to visit Santa and Mrs. Clause in the Santa House located downtown Clearfield, PA in Shaw Park. Schedule available on our Facebook page.
Cost: FREE with $7 admission (children 2 & under free)
Available all weekend long — Children can create a DYI (Do-It-Yourself) craft in our classroom with adult assistance. Choose a pretty glittery flocked pine cone or a fun puffy paint decoration!

The classic animated television special A Charlie Brown Christmas comes to life in this faithful stage adaptation in which Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the rest of the Peanuts Gang discover the true meaning of Christmas. A Charlie Brown Christmas was first shown as an animated television special in 1965 and has been part of the holiday tradition ever since. The stage adaptation was completed in 2013. It was performed at CAST in 2015. CAST is happy to have this show on its stage again, this time with more than 30 student actors involved.
At each performance, intermission refreshments will be available for a donation. CAST will be selling raffle chances to win 2021 Charlie Brown Christmas ornaments, as well as raffle chances to win a handmade blanket.
This production is co-directed by Lisa Gormont and Mason Strouse. Stacey Norris is costume designer and Greg Norris is the set designer. CAST would like to thank the dozens of family members who are helping their children prepare for this production and helping behind the scenes to make the show work.
