Announcements 1. No day-of-event race entries. 2. All racers must register by March 12th. 3. There will be an awards banquet immediately following the race at Saint Severin social hall in Drifting, PA. A hot meal will be available for purchase. 4. Stand-up Paddleboard (SUP) racers are to paddle from a standing position. Active paddling while kneeling or sitting is prohibited and may result in disqualification. About the Event Held on a remote 7.5-mile section of Moshannon Creek between Peale Bridge near the town of Grassflat, PA and the Route 53 Bridge near the town of Moshannon, PA. At moderate levels this section of creek is rated Class II+ on the International Scale of Difficulty. High water significantly increases the difficulty. Extra flotation in boats is highly recommended. Most years there are numerous swims and bent boats! Cold water paddling clothing is highly recommended. The water & air temperatures are usually very cold. Time & Location Race Day: Saturday, March 26, 2022 Schedule of events on race morning: Please set your shuttle prior to racer check-in in the morning 9AM to 11AM: Racer check-in and bib pickup at Start Location. 11:30 AM: Racer Meeting at the Start Location. Over 100 talented artisans will feature work ranging from ceramics, fiber, wood, leather and metalwork to jewelry, glass, photography and mixed-media art pieces. There will be lots of great food and plenty of entertainment. The day will kick off with a 5K run/walk through Downtown Clearfield.  Register now through September 14th for the CRC's 11th annual Pumpkin Run/Walk. Early registration is $20 and includes a t-shirt. Registration after September 14th is $25 and does not guarantee a shirt. Strollers and LEASHED dogs are welcome. Registration takes place from January 1 to February 14, 2023.  They can register online at www.visitquehannaarea.com during these dates.  They can also register in person at the Quehanna Lodge in Karthaus, Pa on Jan 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th between 1 and 3 pm.  We also accept registrations in the mail at PO Box 94, Karthaus, Pa 16845.  The cost to enter is $10 for the Elk Antler Shed Hunt.  Anyone can sign up for this event.  The Deer Antler Shed Hunt is for kids 12 and under.  The cost to register for the Deer Shed Hunt is also $10.  The scoring takes place on May 27th at the Pottersdale Park from 11 am to 1 pm.  The winner of the Elk Antler Shed Hunt wins 50% of the registration fees.  The winner of the Deer Antler Shed Hunt also gets 50% of the registration fees.  We divide 40% of the registration fees amongst the remaining people who bring an antler on scoring day but do not win.  The QIDC donates 5% of the registration fees to KECA.  The QIDC keeps the remaining 5%.

This is the 4th annual A&L Music Fest! A&L Music Fest will be taking place at the Premier Event Center on Saturday, August 23, 2025. All money that is raised by the fest is used for scholarships at Curwensville high school in memory of James Lee and Chris Askey. We give out two scholarships a year, one under each name to students continuing their education. Stay tuned for the lineup, food truck list, and more! We can’t wait to celebrate these beautiful souls with some great music and company.

Christmas time is here, and CAST wants you to be part of the happiness and cheer!   The Clearfield Arts Studio Theatre, Inc. (CAST) presents A Charlie Brown Christmas December 10-11, 16-18 at 7:30 p.m. and December 12 at 3:00 p.m.  The performance on December 12 is sold out, and other performances are very close to selling out.    Tickets can be purchased online at www.ClearfieldArts.org.  They can also be purchased at the CAST office Mondays 10:30-11:30 and Wednesdays 4:30-5:30, or at the box office 30 minutes before each performance.  Tickets are going fast, and CAST encourages people to order tickets in advance.  No performances will be added.    The classic animated television special A Charlie Brown Christmas comes to life in this faithful stage adaptation in which Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the rest of the Peanuts Gang discover the true meaning of Christmas.  A Charlie Brown Christmas was first shown as an animated television special in 1965 and has been part of the holiday tradition ever since. The stage adaptation was completed in 2013.  It was performed at CAST in 2015.  CAST is happy to have this show on its stage again, this time with more than 30 student actors involved.   At each performance, intermission refreshments will be available for a donation.  CAST will be selling raffle chances to win 2021 Charlie Brown Christmas ornaments, as well as raffle chances to win a handmade blanket.    This production is co-directed by Lisa Gormont and Mason Strouse.  Stacey Norris is costume designer and Greg Norris is the set designer.  CAST would like to thank the dozens of family members who are helping their children prepare for this production and helping behind the scenes to make the show work.
